Default did I play this correctly? I\'m just not sure

Seat 5 is the button
villain ( $135.25 )
SB( 23.5 )
hero ( $49.15 )
LP ( $48.5 )
EP ( $78.2 )
button ( $23.75 )
MP( $24.25 )
BB ( $23.05 )
EP( $10 )

Hero [ Th Td ]

lasseter raises [$3].
everyone folds to villian
villain calls[$3].
everyone else folds. Just me and villain now. Flop is 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet 10 dollars, I don't have any sort of read on this guy and he raises 30. I think that maybe he is bluffing, he is pushing hard and doesn't really want a call, or he has a pair of spades. I don't put him on a high pair. I go all in (it is only 12 more bucks and I think he might back down if he is bluffing) and villain calls

The turn is a 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and the river is an Ace [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. What would others have done?

Given your read on him, it looks good. This is a very read dependent hand, so if you trust that, then go for it. If your read is wrong, then you might be in trouble. Did villain have 77?

The fish is the guy who reraises with 6 outs.

Pushing here is a mistake. Either you are way behind or slightly ahead. In this situation I fold to the raise.

I agree - he's not going to fold for an extra 12 no matter what he holds and best case he has 6 outs (like he happened to have).

Worst case you are dominated.

BUT, your read was spot on, you got all your money in while you were ahead.

BTW - that insult to injury really pisses me off.
