i was playing a 50nl 6handed game online and this hand comes up. was this too aggressive a move on my part or did my opponent make too loose a call?
Preflop Action: UTG folds. Next player limps. Next player raises. Button folds. SB folds. I call with [A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] in the bb. Flop Action: [4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] I check. Limper checks. Pre-flop Raiser bets about the size of the pot. I then raise allin with my [A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] Limper folds. Pre-flop Raiser then calls with [K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]. turn and river are both 8s, i lose. what would you guys have done in my position? |

You are ahead of every hand that he is likely to raise except for AA. Good move on the flop. Loose call preflop, though. You are folding this hand on the flop 95% of the time and even when you aren't folding it, you are losing a fair percentage of the time when your two pair gets counterfeited or you are already behind to a set.

Use the hand converter man. Not too sure of the details such as stack sizes and what not, but the PF play is far too loose unless the PF raiser is real, real loose and super deep stacked. Again some detailes would be nice to know when dealing with the Post flop action. Not to sure about the push though. You just have to be quite sure that the dude will pay you of if in fact you do hit the flop.

ummmm.
fold preflop push the flop you got sucked out on, reload that's just like getting mad that an opponent calls your preflop push with KK when you have AA. you had the best hand, and he got lucky. some of us poker playes like getting called by worse hands... fim |
