Just as a small point to a new poster, you're allowed to edit the action when the converter messes up. And you played it fine. Although I think it might be preferableto bet something like $15 on the turn to try to get another call out of a draw or, more likely, a pocket pair >6 and <K.

Yea.. ~10 will be enough to make any draw besides a 4 with 2 spades unprofitable. I go around 10 and see if I can get a call or a greedy push with what he assumes is a scare card to you

What about preflop? Isn't opening for a raise to 6x the BB a bit excessive? At least, I haven't been opening for that much with aces or any other hand. Even for more standard size raises (like 3 or 4x BB), I often end up not getting to see the flop, which is obviously not what I want with AA. Do you really get action often enough to justify opening with a raise this large?

Depends very much on your table image. Your raise size should definitely be standard, but either 4xBB or 6xBB is fine. Depends on your style post flop mostly, IMO.

from my experience with SH NL tables, people will call a big raise with any 2 face cards, any 2 connecting cards, and any 2 suited cards.

People opening UTG for 10x BB is not uncommon in these games, at least at party.
