Default 78s in MP vs 2 players

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, Hero calls, 2 folds, Button raises, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls.

UTG+1 was a 60% er - I figured it would be a multiway pot. The raiser on the button was solid.

Flop: (7.40 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, Button bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.20 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, Button bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, Button folds, UTG+1 calls.

Good semi-bluff raise? Might dump some busted overcards and it looks like a move with a set?

River: (10.20 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 folds.

Caught.

Final Pot: 11.20 BB

Any good?

I would fold preflop. I don't play 5/10, but in the 2/4 I need more limpers to call with 78s.

i don't like the pre-flop limp.

I don't like the turn raise with a bettor and a caller. If it was heads up, it would be better, but it's unlikely that they both fold. Plus, if Button decides to 3-bet w/an overpair, you're just ended up charging yourself to draw. IMO, it's better to draw to your outs cheaply here.

I like it because there's a pretty good chance your semibluff might not be a semibluff.

Ok the limp was a bit loose - got to mix it up right? Usually about 3 limpers in front makes this play ok?

I think the button might raise me and the fishy EP limper with a pretty wide range of hands - AK, AQ, AJ, 99, 77, QJ - all of which might fold to a check raise on the turn. Button may have raised with over pairs JJ-AA are possible but unlikely to 3bet this check raise.

Most of the hands button might raise with have overcard outs against me or possible straight outs. He could also fold a 99 there afraid of the ten on the board. Having the button lay down something like AJ or QJ would be good here. My crummy pair might stand up.

I might be making this play with JJ, ATs, or a better hand.
