Right Place to Bet/Fold?
BB is a maniac, UTG+1 is VERY loose but not terribly aggressive. I pick up black Qs UTG and raise.
UTG+1 cold calls. Folded to the BB who 3-bets. I cap and UTG+1 calls 2 more cold. Flop (12.5SB) is 338, two [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]s. BB leads I raise, UTG+1 calls cold, BB 3-bets I cap, UTG+1 coldcalls again and BB calls all in. Turn (18BB): black A. I bet, UTG+1 calls. River(20BB): A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I bet, UTG+1 raises. I fold. Final pot: (23BB) Whaddya think? |

Re: Right Place to Bet/Fold?
I think this is ok. If he is loose and passive you may still be ahead, and he will not raise you with anything you beat. If he were a LAG, it would be an easy check call for me.

Re: Right Place to Bet/Fold?
Ni han. I don't see any other way given your read. Are you folding the turn if UTG+1 raises?

Re: Right Place to Bet/Fold?
I don't think so, cuz I'd be getting like 1:21 to spike my Q, right?

RESULTS
UTG+1 shows K7o for 2 pair, K kicker. BB shows Q4o for two pair, Q kicker. I guess I'm wondering if the pot was big enough to call that river raise.

UTG+1 is VERY loose but not terribly aggressive. [/ QUOTE ] It's easy to say afterwards, but isn't a read like this a little vague to fold a 23BB pot for 1 bet at the river? I would have to have a good read as loose/passive to fold this. |
