Why overbet the flop? Did you lose this hand to trips or a straight?

I'd raise more preflop or limp this early.

Played fine, sucks if you got riverd.

5 saw the flop, so I imagine he wanted to get rid of any flush draws. This is a $5, so they could've called preflop with anything??

If he got rivered by a flush I'd be very surprised... well, I guess a draw might call a flop overbet in a $5 game.

Am I giving the villain too much credit to think that he hit a set or a straight on the flop? You know what they say about overbets...

EDIT: Did you change "that" to "if" while I wasn't looking [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]?

That's a small raise preflop. I think you want to narrow the field down a little more so I would raise a little more than that.
