Default Another all-in with a draw.

Playing draws also seems to be a problem for me.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) converter

Hero (t710)
UTG (t825)
UTG+1 (t2610)
MP1 (t610)
MP2 (t925)
CO (t1536)
Button (t285)
SB (t499)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
4 folds, CO calls t50, 2 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: (t125) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets t150, CO calls t150.

Turn: (t425) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets t510 (All-in), CO calls t510.

River: (t935) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t935

Ok, so the turn is a little reckless. Should I check this and call only with the correct odds?

I don't like betting draws OOP, and you over bet the pot too.

To quote "Charlie" in the movie Top Gun, "Maverick pulls an aggressive move here and is able to defeat the bandit with a missle shot. But I think we've shown it as what NOT to do."

what did you hope to accomplish with your bet on the flop? this is the main thing that many novice players disregard: having a purpose to each of your actions. i don't necesarily agree with your play but that i will get to that in just a second. your semi bluff is power full for two reasons: it can win you the pot immediately or your opponent can call and your hand can improve. that being said your plan needs to be that you will bet and if he calls, you give up if you don't improve.

that being said, i don't like your play as you flopped an open ended straight draw against a board that could already contain a full house, and oh by the way you are out of position to a player who has you covered 2:1. throw this one away and take this guy on when your edge is much better.

hope this helps,
johnny
