does anyone fold this river? or the turn? [/ QUOTE ] no way. call that down. it looks like you are beat, but you will be good here often enough to make the call down profitable. reads will help too. against a passive player who will never bluff when a scare card hits, folding is more defensible (but even in this case, only on the river after you do not fill up). against an unknown, no way you can fold this. gm |

Re: KQo meets a bad turn card
A player read would help. As is I would raise the turn and see what happens your hand is good a high % of the time here.

No turn raise? [/ QUOTE ] No way. Especially given a .5 aggression factor. In fact, if he is that passive, folding the river unimproved is okay, though I might still call down. A turn raise would be good versus a TAG, but not this guy. |

Re: KQo meets a bad turn card
Then I would raise the turn. If he three bet I would call and check call the river. If he just called the turn raise and checked the river I would bet the river for value. Just my opinion.

Re: KQo meets a bad turn card
[ QUOTE ]
Just because he led the turn? [/ QUOTE ] Because he led the turn AND has a .5 aggr factor. People like this do not bluff on scare cards. This looks like a straightforward player who hit his flush. Calling down is fine, but raising, calling a 3-bet, and then calling down is terrible against a player like this. Again, this line would be fine vs. a TAG, just not here. gm |
