Default Why am I an addict?

I just got my X Box Live going and have been playing Halo 2 non stop. The last 3 days I have only put in 10hrs on Party. Anybody else a video game addict? I might have to lock up my copy of Halo 2 in my safety deposit box.

I was playing a lot of football a few months ago. I have since overcome that addiction and can now concentrate more on my poker addiction.

If Halo 2 was any good i would be addicted to it, but it has no long term value because IMO its a horrible game.

First Person Shooter + Console = lacking.

Halo2 is a great game, the features on Xbox live are terrific. I just can't play a FPS unless it is with a mouse and keyboard. When playing counterstrike/ut2004/doom, its dead on accuracy with your shot. You can spin around real quick and nail a guy. In Halo your movement is slower so it is hard to attack/defend at an enemy that gets you from behind.

You missed out on the WoW thread in OOT.

(I'm too lazy to find it for you too.)

WoW and all MMORPGs will take control of you life if you let them. You have to decide if you want to devote your waking hours to your in-game or real world life. You can't be good at both.

I was having a great time with WoW but had to force myself to quit because I wasn't playing any poker. It was a tough decision but I don't make money playing WoW.
