Should AJ0 be played short handed preflop in UTG
should AJo be played in UTG in a shorthanded $50 NL game on PP???
limp and no call on an opened pot? or just fold? |

Re: Should AJ0 be played short handed preflop in UTG
raise UTG in shorthanded game. play it preflop like you are in MP and first in in a ring game.
that said, you don't lose a helluva lot by playing it a little lighter. |

Re: Should AJ0 be played short handed preflop in UTG
I limp it a lot of the time at an aggresive table hopeing that someone late raises the pot with a weaker holding (then I just call). If the table is passive or the mood strikes me I raise. If I catch a flop with an ace or a jack high flop I play the hand real fast (even in a raised pot). I don't worry about paying off a better ace or an overpair with AJ in 6max. If it happenes - it happens. I think it is far more likely that I get paid off by a weaker ace or a weaker jack. Some flops I would be more careful about (for example something like a str8y J high flop would slow me down).
