Default Betting out middle pair from early position

Everyone in this hand except me is 60% vpip/2% pfr/1.0 post-flop aggression (or around there.)

Based on pokertracker reads I bet out middle pair. Did I play this well?

I play it the same but you're going to see Q/crap kicker fairly regularly from a passive player.

Sure, I just wonder if its often enough that playing like this is the best way.

What about betting the flop, then checking the turn on a blank to see if anyone has a Q?
