Default 99 hand from the BB

Button is a LAG who capped a flop with Ace high. He tried to bluff me off my AK in an earlier hand. UTG is LP, preflop raiser is not very good.

Bet/call. A raise could be crap. You still have an overpair, and nobody has shown signs of aggression. Check-calling is weak. It's true that backdoor flush draws, straight draws, etc. just came in -- but more often than not you'll get called by worse hands that would check behind if you checked.

I would check raise the flop to protect your hand....betting out will give the Ace the odds to call.

Bet/call the River.
