Default Fossilman\'s Final Table commentary

It's on right now. And it's good stuff.

Edit: I don't know if this has aired before, so I apologize if this is old news. ESPN2 for those who are interested.

I believe tonight is the first time it's aired on the network, it was on the free preview of espn360.com last weekend. It'll also be on again twice tomorrow on the Deuce at 1 and 6pm.

For the Raymer drones that belittled David Williams heads up play.

Raymer defended it . I'm sure we won't hear anything else about this heads up match on twoplustwo again.

Presto! Have a good day.

This makes Raymer look a lot better. Offcourse people who berated him are foolish. In the Tournament of Champs hes really a genious. He knows hes not better so he risks 40 60
s semi coin flip, how does this not make sense.

Thanks for the kind words. Except for a few too many "ummms", I was pretty happy with how it came out.

I can't argue with that statement. ;-)

I agree 100% with this comment. However, I do not agree with the other way of stating it. I did not think I was worse. In both instances where I called Annie's bet with 89, I was quite sure that the call was mathematically correct. That is, given the weighted range of hands I put her on, I was getting more in pot odds than I needed for the call to be correct.

Just ask Gus about those calls, and I bet he backs me up. ;-)

Greg, it appears at least to me that the difference between, for instance, Gus' play in the PSI and your play in the TOC is that it wasn't adequately explained that you were calling because you felt you had the odds to call. With Norman Chad, you basically get the "Greg must want to leave!" junk that *really* helps explain the situation, while on PSI, we are at least told that Gus thinks he has the odds to call, which is why he's thinking about it. So to the average viewer, your plays with the 98's looks reckless because we aren't given much info, while with Gus' plays, we are told basically what Gus is thinking.

Also Gus seems to take forever to make these calls while you do (or did) them relatively quickly. That may also factor in it. I thought you did very well in the TOC, unfortunately those two hands against Annie didn't pan out. You held your own against all those pros, which is more than I can say for most people on this board.

I really liked hearing the commentary from Raymer's perspective.

Entertaining and informative.....I don't see how any poker player could turn the television off while this was running. Very good stuff. Also liked that Raymer did not take the very easy opportunity to slam Arieh and instead explained the situation and the apology afterward(Arieh is still a tool though).
