Default Robert Randolph

Thought I'd post this for the music lovers out there. Was channel surfing last night and saw Robert Randolph in concert on PBS. This guy was amazing.

Default Re: Robert Randolph

He can tear on the pedal steel. Robert can squeeze out a hell of a lot of emotion from that damn thing, and it's also pretty entertaining to see a bunch of stoners getting down to God music (if and when the Word returns to touring).

I saw him (w/ the family band) on a COOOOLD rainy Monday night at ziggy's in winston-salem and there couldn't have been more than 75 people there. Ziggy's is basically a barn with a tarp/tent for a roof and a few heat lamps.. By the end of the second set that place was HOT.

ps medeski's solo at the end of the album version of the word's 'joyful sounds' is the start of one of the happiest minutes of music ever released
