Re: On my TiVo now
Butterfly. Awesome movie about La Guerra Civil (the civil war) in Spain. It's in Spanish, but with subtitles. I watched in spanish class this year. Wicked deep.

Re: On my TiVo now
13 going on 30 looks horrible, but Charles Taylor from Salon.com, who's like the ultimate snob loved it. Had it on his 2004 top 10...

Spartan (Val Kilmer/William H Macy) [/ QUOTE ] The plot was a little bizarre, but I really liked the dialogue and the movie overall. I'm a fan of any film by David Mamet. EDIT: Starsky & Hutch. Okay, but not as funny as Zoolander or even Dodgeball. 13 Going on 30. Meh. It's been said before, but The Fog of War is outstanding. |

Starsky & Hutch (Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson) Spartan (Val Kilmer/William H Macy) [/ QUOTE ] Starsky & Hutch is alright. I'm a big owen wilson fan and that was the only reason why I watched it. Snoop could have been featured more. Spartan - Acutally, I would like a review on this movie. All the reviews I've read on this have been mixed. Happy viewings... |

Seabiscuit is a good feel good movie, but not great by any means.

Starsky & Hutch (Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson) [/ QUOTE ] Watched this tonight. So disappointing. Vaugh, Stiller, Wilson. I like all these guys. And a few friends loved this movie. I did not think it was very good at all. I did, however, have a bottle of Wakatake Daiginjo Onikoroshi (Devil Killer) sake while watching it. The sake was awesome. |

Re: On my TiVo now
I agree with Felson on Spartan. Mamet is really awesome, and this movie is definitely worthwhile. Given your list here I'd rank this as #1 or #2 to watch battling only Seabiscuit for the #1 slot.

Re: On my TiVo now
Ditto the comments about Spartan and Fog of War, but I think I liked Spartan a little better than felson seemed to. Some specific lines are great and some of the scenes are much better than they deserve to be.
I haven't seen it but a friend claims that the Lips and Shins Austin City Limits is quite good and I would trust her judgement. EDIT: For clarity. |
