Default Ipod tech question

My Ipod mini is not working. It ran out of battery power, then gave me this little battery ! sign. I plugged it into the power charger and nothing is happening.

?

Also the menu button is pretty off and on. Sometimes it works then other times I have to use the hold button to go backwards in the menu tree.

Anyone have similar problems?

Are you being serious, (saying the mini is flawed) or not?

I've heard they recently stopped making the ipods because of problems like these. Can anyone verify that? I've been wanting to get one, but they are impossible to find at a store now, and I don't want to get one if it's just gonna break down on me in a year or two.

If you live in a city with an Apple Store, I recommend taking it there. I hear their "genius bar" support folks are great -- and the help is free, I believe. If your iPod is under warranty, they may just hand you a new one at the store.
