this is similar to my BB hand question I posted the other day...it definitely is an important strategy concept.

Is it national small pair weekend or something?

I appear to be missing the point of this post, it seems to be a no brainer.

If a newbie had posted this I wouldn't even be considering it. Every single factor is against us. (Big raise, people still behind, EP limper, $33 sng, small pair in hand, level 1)

Edit: Okay, I think I understand now, you're on an hourly rate mission and want to push?
If this is not it, I'm lost.

I must concur, as I just watched the FIRST hand of a $55 SnG, where MP3 raises to t100. Button calls. BB pushes.
Button ends up calling.

MP3 88
Button KJo

What am I missing here? It makes me want to limp with AK, after my AK raise was pushed allin. These games look a little maniacal to me. How could anything other than Tight Aggressive be the best strategy?

I think its a mistake people make often. The obvious answer for most of us is fold as indicated by the poll. Some say that pushing is more $EV.. I guess I was kinda hoping that someone had some great insight as to why going against the flow is is the better thing to do.
