Default Why I Hate Tournament

Haven't played tourneys for a while, because I often get bad beat, but decided to play one tonight. 30+3. Still early in the tourney, 3 players all in on the flop including me. Flop is A74. BB has 74o. MP has AJo. I have A7s. Turn comes J. Instead have 3X chips to work with, I went busted. I hate tournaments...

If you hate sngs, you must hate all types of poker and gambling (inc investing) in general. Bad beats happen.

Yeah, I hate it when my A7 gets beat by AJ. It's those types of miraculously horrible beats that make me think on-line poker is rigged.

You had 74% equity in the pot. It's annoying, but it's not exactly a bad beat.

As far as I can tell, you would have lost money on that hand whether it was a tournament or not.

Just venting. It's just frustrating when you are making the right play, but still come out losing.

Without further context, it is impossible to tell whether or not you made the right play here.

The annoying thing about tournaments is all it takes is one bad beat, then all that time and efforts are wasted (well, sng is not as bad, because it's shorter).

I look at it the other way.

Pity those poor 2/4 players who have a bad start, lose $150 and can only bet $4 a time to get it back
