I have no reads since I was multi-tabling.

#1) Villian had less than 1/2 my stack and i posted the bigblind. I'm thinking that i made the right choice by calling w/A8s, but wanted to double check?

#2) He called my check-raise bluff on the turn, then lead out w/a min bet on the river. i'm pretty sure he had a K. but i paired up w/my 6 and was getting 7.5:1 to call the 300. Should I have called on the river?

Hand 1 seems fine to me although it is close. I would probably make the call without a read but would heavily rely on a read in making my decision if I had one.

Hand 2 I fold on the river. The only way I could call on the river is if my opponent showed some wierd and erratic plays.

*Edit*
Looking back on hand 1 I am unsure of what the right move would be. Interested to hear from others but I am still leaning towards a call vs. an unknown player.

1. I'd fold. I think you've got to wait for a better hand to gamble without a read.
2. IMO this is a push/fold on the turn.

1 i would fold- don't want to be dominated, or against a pair or anything of that nature, there are better spots to get your money in than with ace rag suited. you don't want to double someone up and put yourself back down to fighting level when you havea good stack.

2. fold the river.....you can beat nothing but a pure bluff.
