Default New to sportsbetting, several beginner questions.

Ok, I'm a poker player normally, but after cashing out my bankroll and moving to another site I have an extra $30 or so. So why not try my hand at sportsbetting to see if I'm good at it/like it.

Now I signed up at bodog.com for now, are there any other sites with minimum bets less than $5? I'm not doing this to make a lot of money right now just have some fun.

Now, for the Superbowl, the options are either Patriots (-7) or Eagles (+7). If I bet the Patriots (-7) does that mean the Patriots have to be ahead by more than 7 points for me to win money? If I bet the Eagles (+7) do the Eagles have to win by more than 7 points for me to win? I'm just not sure on what the numbers in parentheses mean.

Also, the money line, Pats (-255), Eagles (+215), what do these bets mean?

Thanks in advance.

-7 Means they have to win by 8 points or more, if they win by 7 it's a tie or "push".

+7 Means they can lose by 6 points or less. If they lose by 7, it's a tie, anything more than 7 you lose the wager.

-255 ML - Bet $255 to win $100

+215 ML - Bet $100 to win $215

So betting on the money line is just a bet if they win or not?

Check out:

www.sportsbookreferrals.com
www.howtogamble.net
www.sportsbookreview.com

All the above sites will discuss a lot of different sportsbooks and minimum/maximum deposits/bets.

I know that www.sportsinteraction.com accepts bets as low as $1 USD. I am sure that there are other sites with similiar minimums but I don't know which ones off hand.
