Default Steal-raises in 10+1\'s

I tend to make undersized steal-raises in low-level SnGs, reckoning that most of the players will not be making their decisions based on the amount of chips involved, but rather, the fact that there's been a raise.

At the 50/100 level on Party, for example, I'll raise to 225. At 150/300, probably 625 or 650.

This seems to work out for me - in this case, a steal is a steal, but a min-raise seems to "look different". The 25 chips seem to do the trick.

Anyone agree/disagree?

Do you bet the same amount when you have a real big hand?

Maybe nobody notices at 10+1. Probably not.

i guess it depends on your stack and image at the table...i feel that people overbet there hands alot at 11,22,33s so if u try to steal alot of times someone calls with second pair and/or a draw then what do you do? i like playing tighter earlier then loosen up as people start getting knocked out and others get scared of eliminatin themselves.

I assume you're talking about open-raising preflop to steal the blinds....not steal-raising a flop bet (which you should do very rarely, if ever, at the $10s...UNLESS, of course, you've completed with AK in the SB in a 5-way pot and the flop comes TT4....)....
then, yes, it usually makes sense to
raise the smallest amount necessary to steal the blinds.

I do sometimes. If I have seen the people in the blinds fold to a min raise or small raise, I certainly do it. If I have not hit any hands and should be seen as really tight, I will do it (obvi, this is pretty often). If I try it and it doesn't work, I'll raise more the next time.

I normally fire away a 250 raise against the 50/100 blinds if I've got a hand or not, and I grab the blinds way more than I should. I think people are wondering why I didn't just make it 300.
