Default Unprofitable stealing hands

What hands would you not attempt a steal-blind with if given the chance? On the button it's folded to you with AA and both the blinds are tight players, it would be -EV to try and steal the blinds here considering there is a good chance you can net 3-4BB if you play the hand through, correct? It seems maybe KK and QQ as well, but I'm not sure. Speculative hands like AK I can see just taking your .75BB and being happy because there was no risk involved. Any opinions or articles on this subject?

Default Re: Unprofitable stealing hands

There was a post on here a while ago about this.

We ended up deciding that stealing the blinds was good news for all hands but AA and KK.

In addition, you are more likely to get called than normal if it's folded to you on the button because it looks like you're stealing. Everyone expects you to try anyway. If you get played with at all, then you can get fancy because no one will suspect that you are as strong as you are.
