Yeah I just saw on ESPN when they took the tarp off the field...just a sheet of ice.
This obviously works to the advantage of the Pats...this is exactly what they were looking for when they left the tarp off the field all week while it rained/sleeted.
We will hopefully be getting some snow around gametime too. I hope the Colts brought their shovels!

You must be kidding, right? Why on earth would they want to play on ice? I don't think so!

This is completely different than saying that NE wants to play on an ice covered filed. There is no chance that they feel playing on ice gives them an advantage. If anything it helps cancel the home team field edge.

Here's the article from espn.com:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playof...ory?id=1966440

The Patriots purposely left the tarp off the field ALL WEEK while we got rain and sleet in the area. By NFL rules, they had to cover it last night.

How can you say that playing on a slick field doesn't help a team that is used to playing in crappy weather against a dome team?
I'm sure if they could, they would rent a snowmaker from a ski resort and bury the field in a couple feet of snow!

If you had any wisdom, you would realize that what they did to the field gives NE a huge advantage. The Colts are used to playing in a dome...now he's playing on who knows what. It was ice when they took the tarp off. If the heating coils can melt it, it'll be muddy after a quarter.

Hopefully we'll get some snow too.

the pats would play this game in sand if the NFL allowed it. how the heck does ice negate thier homwfield advantage when the colts have not played in anything colder that 40ish all year?
