Default Playing a missed flop on step 4 or 5.

This is happening alot to me lately. We'll be 5 or 6 handed. I'll have say 1200 chips and raise to 300 with AT. The big blind will call and the flop will be QK4. He checks to me.

Now what the hell do I do? If I bluff, I pretty much have to do it for all my chips. Do you just check behind and fold to their turn bet? This question is geared for when you missed the flop, but 2 high cards came. Not just rags. And you have a short enough stack now that bluffing will pot commit you. It seems really weak to just check behind and fold the turn, but my alternative seems like just throwing chips to their pair.

Thoughts?
