Default Bankroll for Sngs

Was reading on the other boards an argument on if a bankroll in limit of 300BB is enough.

How much do you think your bank roll should be compare to the price to enter the sngs?

You should have a big enough bankroll that fits your psychological needs and ability to replenish it.

There is no one "right" answer.

I like to move up once I reach 30 for the next level, move back down a level if I hit 20 for the current level. Never having less than 20 buy-ins for the given level I'm playing means never facing a must-win situation, which is a good feeling for me.

I think that like every other player, I take the occassional stab at higher levels when things seem to be going well, but in general 20-50 buy-ins seems to work fine.

Edit: I don't know how low or high of buy-ins you're playing, but this might be useful to you or others... The one exception I'd make is moving up from the 5+1s to the 10+1s. I started at the 5+1s like a lot of people do with a small deposit, but generally you should get out of these ASAP. Over the laung haul the 20% rake will hurt you there and if you're beating them consistently, you can move up to the next level anyway. Matter of fact, from what I have seen, there does not seem to be much difference in level of play between the $6, $11, and $22 levels, though I'd recommend going ahead and building your bankroll appropriately before moving to the $22 (if you have a small one like me).
