Default 3 hitchikers

The first one was semi-crazy. He was about 65 and kept rambling on and on about how he is in the process of suing the supreme court. He said the Nuremburg trial guaranteed his right to due process. He even had a list that he claimed were court cases to back up his claim. It was not clear what he was suing for. It was his lucky day as I gave him a ride all the way from Bend, OR to Spokane, WA. He was annoying so I kept the conversation to a minimum.

The second hitcher was a boat person from Vietnam. I picked him up in Missoula, MT and gave him a short ride to Superior. This guy was actually kind of interesting. He knew alot of stuff about evolution and the environment. He would use words like "biome", which most native speakers don't use much less a vietnamese boat person. He had hitched all over the US and Mexico. He was looking for a jungle type place where he could hunt and live off the land.

The third guy I picked up in Reno and gave him a ride to Sacramento. Just like the first hitcher I dropped him off at the bus station. This guy was a Native American kid from Hoopla, CA. He had gone to Reno with some friends but got split up after getting in a fight. He was slogging through 3 feet of snow on I-80 so I didn't have the heart to leave him there.

I'd say picking up hitchikers increases your chances of getting man-raped significantly.

Dude I drive an SUV so it would be even more lame ass to not give some one a hand when it costs me very little.

I've never picked up a hitchhiker, but I always have stopped when I see someone blow a tire to overheat or whatever. One time I ended up giving a guy a ride after he got a flat and didn't have a spare.
