That's a lot, but don't that many people die all the time of starvation, sickness, etc. around the world?

I hardly think that's the point, as those people died as well, spread out all over the world, in addition to the 200,000 in one place at one time.

To link those two cases together would be wrong.

I think that this number is going to go even higher. Just a few days ago, the estimates were around 10K, now it's over 200K. I wouldn't be surprised to see that after starvation and disease and everything else the numbers reached the 400K mark. I hope that everyone keeps all the affected people in their prayers.

Keep everyone in prayers.

Donate even $5 if you can, it's the least you can do.

Where are you getting numbers over 200,000? Both major news wires (AP and Reuters) are reporting between 125,000 and 150,000. This is from their articles dated within the hour. I wouldn't trust any other news source to have more accurate info than either of those two.

Ambassador Rusdihardjo concluding that the death toll in Acheh Province, could exceed 400,000.

If that one province reaches 400,000 dead I'll shat myself. Seriously, what are they talking about millions?
