Default James the Rock meets truey the Scary.

I noticed that James didn't even bet the like of KK against two or three passive callers, so this hand made me sit up and watch!

Jesus, Mike, your table talk is incredibly inappropriate. Other than that, excellent fold on the flop! lol

This hand shows why it's not that bad to be a total rock on paradise. You will get action, regardless.

Default James meets Mike the egomaniac

James raises preflop

Flop comes x x A

James bets out.

Mike Correctly puts James on Three Aces, but alas, our hero Mike is not content with correctly reading hands and saving a few bets. Mike has to demonstrate to all others at the table that he is a force to be reckoned with, that he has superb card reading skills.

It doesn't matter to Mike that he might cost James, or the eventual winner a few bets, the important thing is that the players recognize Mike's ability.

It doesn't matter that talking about a hand, especially during the hand is inappropriate, how else would the others know the expertise Mike possesses.

Default Sorry for living, Jodder, but ...

... this was the 50 cent table, for goodness sake!!!

If you can't have a bit of fun and chat at that level, well, please forgive me for playing.

I wouldn't have said a thing if it had been for higher stakes, or in a tournament, and I don't think what I said had one jot of effect on the play in any case.

Tell me your playing-name and I'll make sure I don't talk to you or I'll move off your table if it upsets you that much. I like to enjoy the game and I am not into deliberately offending or insulting anyone.

Good luck.

Mike.

Ermm. Whatever the level you shouldnt really comment on a hand while it's in progress. 50-1 might be a bit of fun to you, but commenting on hands in play is bad etiquette at any level. That's my opinion anyway.

You're right, of course.

I don't usually talk about hands, in actual fact. But this time, as I folded my TT on an AJ flop against five players with a rock pre-flop big blind raiser betting out with four players behind me, my irritation in having to fold (yet another!) good hand led me to jokingly guess out loud what I thought the other players would have been thinking anyway. It wasn't intended to be any more than a wallpaper chat comment. I didn't reveal my hand, so at the time I didn't think I was giving away any unknown information to anyone.

After that, I just got carried away by the excitement of it all!

So, my public apologies to truey, if his play was affected by my out of order comments; and to James, if other players folded earlier than they would have, normally.

Finally, to enable you to enjoy the hand without distraction, as I had originally intended such to be the case, I repost it below, suitably edited.
