Default Starting over again.....need advice.

I've been playing online for about a year now and I've had my ups and downs. Seems like for awhile I'll do really well and build my bankroll up, and then in a few days I will end up losing most of it. My main theory is that I don't have a sufficient bankroll to be able to withstand the swings of the limits I'm playing. I was playing 1/2 limit on PP with $150 in my account. I've decided that after the new year I'm going to reload my PP account and start over again. I plan on putting in enough money so that I have 300BB for the .5/1 tables. I have downloaded Poker Tracker and plan on studying it to figure out where my leaks are. Right now I see myself playing pocket pairs too far and often playing too many starting hands. I find it difficult to only play the hands I should when I constantly see people winning with J3o. I'm also going to re-read TOP, and SSH over xmas break. Is there anywhere to read about Poker Tracker? It seems like a lot of information and I'm not quite sure how to determine what everything means about my play. Any other advice would be great. It seems that for awhile I thought I was a lot better than I actually am, and I'm determined to become the player that I once thought I was.

Dave

P.S. - My goal is 2K by June. It seems like a lot right now, but hopefully I'll be able to do it.

You and every other player at the table.

$.50/$1.00 means ABC poker. Avoid FPS (fancy play syndrome). Bet when you have it, check when you dont.

the hardest thing for new players...... dont forget you are playing with REAL MONEY!

Good Luck

Good advice and thanks for the links.

Looks like I'll be doing $200 at Paradise for $100 bonus, and the $90 for $90 at Interpoker instead of $300 at Party.

$2000 by June is very attainable. Study the thread you were linked to bove about "building a bankroll for newbies" by Homer.

I started from a free $10 in chips and am currently at $2600 for 2+ months of play. Feel free to see the following link for a summary of how I did that:

My only though on what you have said is that I'd forget about Crypto if I were you. You'll lose your ass there playing the way you describe. I'd do some of the casino whores to build you roll more first. Their minimum limit is 1/2 and depending on the time of day the full ring game can be an absolute rock garden during normal US play hours. morning and noon time its decent and the 6max tables are a lot looser but still I don't think I'd reccomend it for someone loking for financial stability on a small roll.

Can you edit that link, its made the post HUGE.

The interpoker bonus is $90/$90, but the lowest limit they have is 1/2. Seems like if I play here I'll be right back where I started with an insufficient bankroll. Any suggestions?

Sorry its too late to let me edit..I actually tried earlier but couldn't figure out how to shorten it up. Should have just left it as "click my name and look for a thread titled $0-$2000." I'll do that next time--I hat those ultra wide threads--sorry again.

I'd do the GRANNY $100 at Paradise and then check to see what the current wagering requirementss are for Reef, Casino-On-Net, Starluck and Planetluck Blackjack casino whores. Assuming you manage to not do anythign stupid doing those that should get you another $600 then you can do all the Party skins. But like I said check out the terms and consitions very carefully--I heard the wagering requirment had gone up for the $200 matching bonuses at Reef and CON.
