UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Hero calls, Button calls, SB folds, BB checks.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, Button calls, BB folds, UTG+1 folds.

I was just about to say something along the lines of, "Without a read, I play it the same," or whatever, but then I saw your post. I just assume JJ is being raised preflop.

Yeah, Mang, raise preflopz0r. After that, yeah, looks good.

I know SS says raise PF, but a local poker pro at Foxwoods told me it is a bit controverial. Is he wrong?

Anyway, I lost to a full house. So I'm guessing raise is correct.

Just out of curiosity, what does the "pro" play?

Quotes will remain until proven otherwise because limping JJ sucks.

Two Things.

1. I think about 95% of 2+2'ers raise PF in this spot.
2. Be careful trying to extrapolate too much from one hand... Just because you lost to a full house this hand doesn't mean a thing. It's short term variance.

I think that's the only answer that would've had less info than "poker." What limits does he play?
