Re: JJ pair on board, no overs.
Why didn't you raise PF?

[ QUOTE ]
Why didn't you raise PF? [/ QUOTE ] I was just about to say something along the lines of, "Without a read, I play it the same," or whatever, but then I saw your post. I just assume JJ is being raised preflop. Yeah, Mang, raise preflopz0r. After that, yeah, looks good. |

Re: JJ pair on board, no overs.
I know SS says raise PF, but a local poker pro at Foxwoods told me it is a bit controverial. Is he wrong?
Anyway, I lost to a full house. So I'm guessing raise is correct. |

Re: JJ pair on board, no overs.
Just out of curiosity, what does the "pro" play?
Quotes will remain until proven otherwise because limping JJ sucks. |

Re: JJ pair on board, no overs.
It's not controversial. You should be raising 88-TT here as well.

Re: JJ pair on board, no overs.
Two Things.
1. I think about 95% of 2+2'ers raise PF in this spot. 2. Be careful trying to extrapolate too much from one hand... Just because you lost to a full house this hand doesn't mean a thing. It's short term variance. |

Re: JJ pair on board, no overs.
I think that's the only answer that would've had less info than "poker." What limits does he play?
