Default Looking For Someone Local To Build Poker Table-Central Massachusetts

Hello everyone!

My home games have really taken off (have 12-16 players on a regular basis!) and right now I'm just drapping a felt table cloth over existing tables to give it that casino feel.

But what I really want is a true poker table with a padded rail and all that. Here's what I'm looking for:

OPTION 1: Build a poker table with folding legs and a padded rail (vinyl or whatever you believe is durable and best) Should seat 8 players.

OPTION 2: I have a small dining room table that originally came with four chairs, but we squeezed 7 players onto it yesterday. Just need to add felt and a padded rail to the top and it becomes a dedicated poker table!

If anyone is interested and capable of assisting with this project please let me know which Option you could do, and how much it would cost (materials and labor).

I can build computer systems and overclock them, but I was never good at geometry or shop class, so I don't want to even attempt to build a poker table, I know I'd botch the job. Plus, I don't have all the tools necessary (staple gun, hacksaw, drill, etc.)

Also, if anyone wants to do a trading of skills, I'd be happy to build a computer system for you in exchange for you building the table for me (I pay for the materials for the poker table, you pay for the computer components, I can help with recommendations on which components to choose based on your needs, and then we just provide free labor so we both only pay for materials costs)

I live in Gardner, which is 40 minutes West of Worcester and can be reached at anthonymartino@verizon.net

Thanks!

I would be happy to quote you if you are still looking. Texas Hold'em table with any fabric, color, and railing you want. Custom legs too. I'm based on LI New York and can ship or you can pick up as well.

Hey Stephen. Thanks for the response, but the reason I'm looking to have someone local do it is so I can avoid spending 100 bucks extra on shipping. And if I was going to travel I would drive out towards the Boston area, New York would be even further to travel. Thanks anyway though!

You may want to take a look at http://www.scottkeen.com/forum/

After reading these forums I built 3 tables by myself.

Appreciate the link, I've seen those forums and many other posts about building your own table. It's just not for me. Just like I find building a computer from the ground up easy, while others may not.

I'll stick with metal and aluminum parts and let others handle the measuring and cutting of wood. :P

Building Poker tables are a pain though so if you don't mind spending extra to have someone build you one, that would be the best way to go.

Well, I sent out an email to my list of contacts for my home game. One of the newer guys got back to me and is willing to trade labor (i.e. I build him a computer system and he builds me a poker table. We both pay for our own materials/components and don't charge the other labor) woo-hoo!
