Help! I'm SOOOO itchy

After a near breakup with my long time girlfriend, I got a break out of hives due to emotional stress. Add finals week and 3 hrs sleep/night. It's been a couple days and I'm STILL totally itchy all the time; I can scratch practically anywhere on my body even when its not itchy, and it magically becomes itchy. The itchy spots are hella itchy. I don't want to have to constantly soak myself in anti itch creme all day- like I am now. Help!

I broke out in hives after eating thai food.
I went to the hospital because I was getting short of breath, and I got itchier and itchier.
They gave me some pill, I'm pretty sure it was benadryl (antihistamines, I guess they do something for that, I don't know). They charged me a lot for that pill, they probably charged me for the cup of water too.

I've gotten 6 hours of sleep in the last 80 something hours. my bad

yeah, really the only thing you can do is take some benadryl or Alegra if you can get it, and drink a lot of water. Hives suck, a lot, I have been there before man. The itchyness is hard to explain, and it really makes it hard to sleep.

Try that stuff out man, and get some rest!
