Default NL Satellite Hand

Yesterday, I played in a double- round satellite. The final hand of the event for me was as follows: The blinds were 400-800; I was the small blind with 1,600 left after posting. The two larger stacks, with 19,000 and 11,000, muck, and I look at my cards and find an offsuit A-4, and move in. The big blind calls with K-9o. Is his call reasonable here?

Yes. He's getting 2:1 with a hand that is likely undominated. This is one of the situations where you have to move in and he has to call and no one made a mistake, regardless of the outcome.

btw: if this was the final table of a super sat, it was close to the money, there were shorter stacks around and the BB was a good player, you should have mucked to assure you another two rounds; otherwise, you both played it perfectly.

No, I was at the Molson Indy (Cart).

But I'm from Montreal and many of my friends played in it.

It's always fun to meet fellow poker players, especially frequent posters. Where do you live?
