Question about underage gambling
Me and a few of my buddies are planning a trip to Foxwoods casion in a couple weeks. We've all made a good amount playing online and thought why not reward ourselves with a trip to a real casino.
Although a couple of us have fake id's, some of us do not and are only 18. We won't try and order drinks or go to the craps tables or anything. What are the chances of us being carded if we just stick to the poker tables? Also, are any of you planning a similar trip to foxwoods in the coming weeks? Thanks for the input, JimmyJazz1 |

Re: Question about underage gambling
I've heard that foxwoods doesn't really care but it's only after you make the trip in someone else's car and they get in and you don't that they'll ever care
I'm from the same area probably (brookline) and I'm 19...although Foxwoods is tempting I just make the trip to Turning stone in NY. I'm actually heading up on friday, and this is the first time I'm going with enough money to play serious poker. By the way anyone who possibly reads this, just found this forum last night and I'm extremely pleased I finally went looking for a place like this. I went from loathing limit to REALLY wishing I knew how to play it right in about half an hour. Gonna have to hit the books, but 'til then its NL for me |

Re: Question about underage gambling
I went there fairly regularly when i was 18 if you guys are not dumb about it youll be fine. Wait till some old lady is asking directions to keno or some [censored]. Also traveling in a large group would be dumb. If you do get denied they do have the capability to radio other entrances as there are 3 or 4. Once in the poker room forget about it, I have never been or seen anyone be carded in the poker room. If somoene looks like they are 12 no promises maybe grow some facial hair or something. gl andrew. Oh also they have a grill for the poker room/ sportsbook i suggest eating there or at the table to minimize trips in and out of the casino.

Re: Question about underage gambling
Thanks for the suggestions. We were thinking of going to Turning Stones during the summer but it never came together. I think we'll try Foxwoods, and hopefully get in.

Re: Question about underage gambling
The downside is that if they catch you after you've started playing, they may just take your chips (and not give you your money back) and throw you out.

Re: Question about underage gambling
Walk around with the attitude like you know where you're going/ what you're doing. Facial hair would be a plus as stated in Kurn's post. I have a friend who's 17 and has been tp Foxwoods numerous times. He just lites up a cigarette when he gets to a table and nobody ever bothers him. If you don't smoke, maybe just have one in your mouth. It's all for effect anyway.

Re: Question about underage gambling
I have heard that this is not legal - that when kicking you out they first escort you to the cashier. if you don't have an ID, they give you a piece of paper that says how much you had so you can come back and cash it out later. Is this true?
