I'm down about 90BB in two days mainly because I have lost about ten trips at that time. About 5 times to bigger trips and half a time to flushes and straights. Maybe I'm just unluckiest guy in the world OR I just don't know how to play trips. It is very irritating to see a post in this board where the hero wins with trip twos in AKQJ2 board when the pre-flop was capped (indicating that someone may have big pair) and I personally don't win trip jacks in QJ642 when the pre-flop was not capped only raised by me, lol (yep, lost to QQQ)

OK, these are just bad beats I know but when my trip column in PT is turning red I'm deciding whether to jump down from the balcony or not!
I'm doing something VERY VERY WRONG HERE!

the button raised pre-flop, cold-called flop and waited the bet to double before raising again. If I remember correctly he was quite tight so I was thinking the worst and put him on pocket jacks or queens. But I don't know why in the heck did I bet on river if I put him on JJ or QQ. Maybe I wasn't sure.

If I raise, what is my plan after that?

Anyway, don't alway assume the worst.

About your question. After you three bet, if he caps, then you can slow down. By slow down I mean betting and simply calling a river raise instead of three betting.
