Heh, I just responded to this in the Internet Forum too. I don't think he realizes that players at the $20/$40 level online are much tougher than B&M players.

That A5 hand alone is hilarious.

It is me or is this guy terrible at poker?

Up $15,000 in like 7 months and he is suppose to be a pro?

WOW!

He was up close to 40k at one point. Reality is catching up with him.

Also, he made all that money B+M. Just now venturing online.

He is not a pro. He is the retired editor of LIFE magazine. A VERY prestigious title if you ask me.

PS: Jay is a very lovable guy... not the greatest poker player, but then again he is not supposed to be. He is writing about how HARD it is to become good at this game. Take it for what it is. I really enjoyed his earlier articles.

As a note, he did subtract 10k from when he was actually entered into the WPT event at Foxwoods, but yes he's been having a pretty rough time of it recently. Seems he needs to have more ACT's taking place at Foxwoods to build up the roll.

I think all of the hate against Jay is because he is getting paid by EPSN (and probably pretty well) to play poker and write a BS column once a week. I know I'm jealous.

If you click on the archives some of the articles written by him are labeled something like "high stakes poker pro"....anyways maybe its hyped but I am sure not Impressed.

I only made it to his mentors response. I do have to give the guy some credit for posting the response, which was slightly more polite than the average response he would get in the zoo to his "this site is rigged" hypothesis.

I thought his little bit at the beginning was humorous. Collusion, chip dumping, and bots, OH MY!
