Folding the river
Working on my river folds. New to table, Villain is an unremarkable 43/0.0.75 over a whopping 7 hands.
Standard river fold, or horrible? Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, 3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks. Why not check/call river?

Re: Folding the river
The reason for not check/calling the river is that a bet may drie out a singleton low diamond. In addition, there are hands that will call a bet here that Hero beats.
