Please comment on my play, particularly the Turn raise. Thanks!

Yeah. MP3's bet smells fishy to me. It doesn't imply strength at all.

Well played, turn raise is pretty good.

I probably would have considered MP3's bet likely to be a 4-flush pump, and raised just like you did. MP's river fold confirms it, IMO. Good raise. NH.

I usually give people too much credit. I'd put MP3 on either A9 or Ace-nothing. If he doesn't have A9 or even A3s, then he'd have to be one of those UK players who like to bluff into preflop raisers for apparently no reason. Even a tight player limping with AQ would give you credit for your preflop raise, so I'd probably raise the turn as well. The problem then is if I give him enough credit to lay down if he 3-bets. I play tight, so I don't like being 3-betted on the turn and not showing down.

Yes almost exactly my thoughts, my concerns were either Ax 2 pair or a flush draw (villain generally loose passive I thought so the bet caused a tiny bit of concern, versus the check/call line I thought he would have taken). I raised because I saw the 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]s and I've seen these guys play with xx suited and xx really means anything!

I don't know if I would fold to a 3 bet though (although I probably should), what do you guys think?
