Big pair question in big pot
You got AA or KK and position raise on the button and get 5 callers and the flop comes something amazingly horrific.
Js, Ts, 9d You bet out and get 4 callers. The turn pairs the board with a 9d. Do you still bet out even though your just asking for the check raise? I assume so even though you are probably beaten. But then you could check to see if you improve on 2 outs for the FH or check call if you dont saving bets. With so many people in the flop and the board pairing there is a high chance someone at least made trips or flopped a str8, not to mention flush chasers and bluffs on the turn. |

I assume you mean the turn brings the 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
On a scary turn such as this, my standard play is to bet and fold to a raise. If you're ahead, worse hands will call you down. If you are raised, you are very likely behind. |

Re: Big pair question in big pot
First of all, you raise all hell with the casino, threaten to sue them for having a deck with two 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Not an expert but I'll give it a shot. I think you bet and fold to a raise. I think You are just giving a lot of people a chance to beat you if they already haven't. This just sucks but I think checking is terrible. You may not have the best hand often, hell you still might, but infinity is so large and I think that you have it just often enough for this to be okay. Then again it could be infinite odds to your FH, I dunno, I give up. But I give up betting. |
