J5 in the BB
I have J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the BB. It's folded around to the small blind who completes. I check.
Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] He bets and I call Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] He checks, I check. River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] He bets and I call. I really didn't like my play in this hand at the time. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. |

Re: J5 in the BB
well. I dislike the flop action. Fold or raise. Fold to a 3 bet.
If you are called, then bet/raise the turn. fold to a (re)raise. check/call through the river. I think aggressive play is the key. Did you win? SFWUSC |

Re: J5 in the BB
This is oh so player dependent. And it's also fine to mix it up a little (though I'd never fold on the flop). Against a loose passive, I'm inclined to raise the flop, and I'm willing to fold on the turn if he's still coming at me. If he called my raise, I'd bet the turn if checked to. I may or may not bet the river in this case.
Play some .02/.04 Heads up on PokerStars. The vast majority of players stink, but you see a wide variety of styles, and it's fun and educational to figure out how to exploit each one. ZZZ |
