Hey Josh,

I do not like your preflop limp, but this has been debated ad nauseam so I'm not about to go over it again. On the river though, your check is good, your call is not.

Raise the damn river. It would be different if the flop was QcJcQs w/the turn the Tc, but it's not.

Peace,

Pu$$y.

Oh and Joe U., JTG and I will be in SoCal around Jan 13-17 so if you are old enough to play at Commerce by then, we'll be there.

Love,
Joe Tall

Why didn't you raise the turn? I don't like risking missing out on a lot of action.

Your play seems fine to me against typical opponents. If you noticed that the button often overplays hands, then I would favor a more aggressive river strategy (betting and calling a raise).

I thought there was a strong possibility the button had a Q, and if not, was probably drawing to 2 outs. I didn't think the bettor had a Q, so I didn't think I'd get that much action. I thought going for the overcall in hopes of trapping them each for an extra bet the times button DOES have a Q. when I got my ass capped, I put him on a flopped boat.

check-raise or bet? I don't like betting because I want the 3rd guy in. I don't like check-raising because if I get 3-bet I'm ahead close to 0% of the time, but I'm not willing to lay down the nut frush. I thought the river was worth 2 bets, but I didn't see a way of getting there.

If I didn't like your check, I'd say so, raise the damn river.

Peace,
