Default HELP!

I think I just made a serious computer blunder. I was cleaning out some unwanted files from my hard drive, and I accidentally deleted a program listed as "Side Find", and now I am unable to open any programs/applications. I in fact had to use my roommate's computer to make this post. Am I totally screwed here or what?

In situations like this I suggest ritual suicide.

I just restarted, and now I am being prompted for a Windows Product Key, which I don't have.

I actually had the ceremonial dagger in hand when I had a flash of insight: Maybe someone on a poker message board will have the magic answer!

I guess there's no chance you have a system restore disk handy? Booting from one of those would be good.

Product code key should be on applications discs for the software you got with the computer. Or on manual or purchase information etc. You may have to call tech support of your computer company or software co. and get the numbers via SN of computer etc.
