10 + 1 PS 1 table SNG... was this stupid?
I figured early in this game, with the chance to triple up, and the outs to hit a straight or flush and one overcard, this was worth it...

Looks good to me.
With the flop action theres no chance your ace outs are good though. Also I don't raise ATs PF there but thats just me. |

[ QUOTE ]
I dont even play ATh in the first round. :-\ [/ QUOTE ] I think you played it alright except for the PF raise. This type of situation is why I will play almost any Axs from late position in the early rounds on Stars. Of course, as Unarmed said, I also would not raise since you want as many limpers as possible to hit a pair, two pair, or straight draw against your flush if you hit it. Another reason I don't raise is if the flop comes something like: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or even 10, 7, 6 rainbow; you are in pretty tough shape to call any 1/2 pot to pot sized bets. I play it the same as for set value, see the flop as cheaply as possible and with consideration of what happens if you hit TPTK. Now if this was party, I think I would indeed tighten up since on stars it's only 1-2% of your stack to see the flop early on. |
