5-card draw volatility
Newbie at draw relative to other games like stud and HE. I was wondering how volatile of a game 5-draw is compared to those and what sort of bankroll would be sufficient to start?

[/ QUOTE ] While variance also depends on game conditions, ante structure, and how well you play, 5-draw will usually have a lower variance than holdem or stud. |

Re: 5-card draw volatility
Variance is a lot smaller at 5 draw than HE or 7CS. That is one of the reasons the game died. However, the variance is greater in these fivehanded double blind games. Bankroll size is smaller than HE but in these fivehanded double blind games I think you should stick to 300 bb.
Beware the PP draw games. There are guys who specialize in them. You could get a spanking. Read Winning Concepts In Draw And Lowball by Mason Malmuth. |
