Default Online Sportsbooks

I was looking into opening an account for both horse racing and sportsbetting. Any suggestions?

I've looked into AcesGold and like what I saw. Does anyone have any experience with them.

Thank you, John

There is a site called Pinnacle Sports that advertises on these forums. I don't know anything about them but since they advertise you may want to give them a look.

"I don't know anything about them but since they advertise you may want to give them a look. "

Why? What does advertising here have anything to do with being a good book? Nothing.

If you want to find good internet books, go to www.theprescription.com and www.majorwager.com - they have huge resources to let you filter out who's good and who's not.

Default Important to note as well

Just by luck, Pinnacle is actually one of the best if all you plan to do is online bets. They offer lower vig than their competitors as long as you put in your plays online. It is true however that advertising is a false sense of security. Definitely look at the www.theprescription.com as anything that advertises on there can be considered fairly safe (but not always) and read the forum to get the latest on all the books.

This is very important right now as it seems obvious to me, my sources, and all the posting forums that this football season could be a disaster. Too many books chasing limited dollars. The people that are willing to put up money are already involved yet books keep opening up left and right guessing that the growth will continue. Fact is there probably will be only moderate growth from now on unless there is some sort of legalization passed. The people that don't trust the offshore industry are not going to change and will keep local bookies in business. What is happening now is that all the money in the system is just being shifted around as the players pick up bonuses and additional outs. This will really be bad for the books because they will be facing players that are looking for better numbers and better deals, neither of which will lead to a very profitable year.

I found your post to be nasty and amazing. If it weren't for our advertisers I doubt that this site (www.twoplustwo) would exist anymore. I didn't say to use them, and I made it clear that I didn't know if they were a good site or not.

MM, I don't want to put words in other poster's mouths, but I interpreted the other post as a subtle reminder to you that you may be "mailing it in" in your sports posts, and that your subscribers/fans are looking for a little more value added.

Let me give you a not so subtle reminder. I spend a lot of my time on these forums assuring that they are as good as we can make them, and I don't appreciate your usual implication that I am always looking to make an extra buck and don't care one bit about our posters.

Default advertising = good book?

you wrote : "I found your post to be nasty and amazing. "

I found your comments of "There is a site called Pinnacle Sports that advertises on these forums. I don't know anything about them but since they advertise you may want to give them a look. " to be even more amazing and non-serving to posters/readers.

You don't know crap about Pinnacle. It just happens they are one of the best books around. The reason of "since they advertise" should not follow "give them a look". If they were a crappy book and did not payout, I doubt you'd know that...and I doubt anyone reading your post would know that, and I doubt anyone who read your post and then went to the site would know that. You should find out more about your advertisers before you say anything. Maybe if you did, you could've said "Pinnacle is one of the best books, so I've read. They also advertise here, give them a look".

"If it weren't for our advertisers I doubt that this site (www.twoplustwo) would exist anymore."

I will take your word that that is correct.

" I didn't say to use them, and I made it clear that I didn't know if they were a good site or not. "

No, you didn't say to use them, but you told them to take a look without knowing anything about your advertisers.

I will allow the intelligent readers of these forums to make up their minds on why your original statement is NOT in the best interest of the readers/posters unless you knew something about Pinnacle.

Taking a look means just that. It doesn't mean that I am recommending that you use them, and I think I made it clear that I didn't know anything about them. But they are supporting a service which people like yourself seem to enjoy, so why not give them a look. I asusume that you know enough about these things to decide for yourself after looking whether you want to take your business there or perhaps go someplace else. Or did I assume too much?
