Default KK early in Live MTT

I know that some of you will tell me to stop whining about this bad beat, but my question is simple--would any of you played this differently?

Early in a live MTT, I woke up to KK in SB. Everybody has about the same amount of chips: $5000; blinds are 50/100, first level.

Two or three players before me and the BB limp in, I raise to $300, and BB raises to $500. Everybody else folds. I call.

Flop is:

2c Kh 3d

I check, BB bets $300, I call.

Turn is 4s

Now I see that there is a possible hand building out there, so I bet 500, BB raises to 1500.

Here is my thought process: The BB, a young guy barley old enough to be in the casino, is shaking and visibly excited about his hand. However, this was also the case preflop and postflop. I had him on AA, AK, QQ or JJ, but I really hadn't been sitting there long enough to have a good read.

Anyway, calling would take half my chips. Besides, I was SURE I had the best hand. So, I pushed allin.

He sat there shaking for a long time, and then finally called, turning over AKo.

My chances were better than 90/10 to win this hand. He had four outs. My tournament ended early.

My only other two options were to call, which seemed silly, or reraise, which also seemed futile, because I was sure he would call. (folding did not enter my mind) Besides, I was positive I would have all of his chips in a minute or two.

Seemed right to me, except for perhaps making the flop a lot more expensive, or perhaps not slowplaying on the flop, but I knew by his reaction upon his winning the hand that he was not even aware of gutshot draw.

What do you think?

End of discussion. It's rare that you'll ever have a better chance to double up in a mtt. Kid didn't re-raise you with A5 or 56, Kid's not gonna fold AK on the turn getting 3 to 1. Just because you lost doesn't mean you didn't play it right. Nice hand.
