Default KK facing a check-raise on the flop

Party, 20+2 nl MTT, no where near the money yet. I have seen this done with 99-QQ, but he also could have hit a set. I don't see him playing any other hand, other than a pocket pair here. Should I have laid this down, or push?

You'd need a very good read to do anything but push. So I'd push a vast majority of the time.

If you really believe what you've said here, you have to call. His raise only leaves him ~200 chips so you're getting better than 3:1 to call and you are ahead of more hands (4, QQ-99) than you are behind (3, 66-44). In all cases, the player who is behind is drawing twice to two outs so you are a 4:3 favorite getting > 3:1.

Many opponents could also have AA, 88, 77, connectors 87 down to 54, or even 33, but you would still have odds to call even if those hands are included (especially since I would weight AA and the connectors less than the pocket pairs you mentioned).

Later,
Che

I don't see how you can fold. In his place I probably push with any hand containing a 3 or 7.
