Default Vegas over Xmas, Baby!!!

Heading to sin city. Dec. 23-27. It'll be nice to get away from the cold up here. Time to round out my collection of porno cards from the street peddlers.

Im hoping to see alot of the stuff i missed the first time. Primarily on the strip. If i have time i may hit downtown. Not sure how much i'll play there, but will definitely play at least a session or 2 somewhere.

Any cool things recommended to see? Example on my list is the aquarium at Mandalay Bay.

Anyone going to be around?

b

Nice and cheap that time of year.

Just stay inside at night because it gets really cold, and feels even colder with the low humidity.

Have a blast. I am headed there in 2 weeks.

I will be there, but may not get much time to hook up w/ people or play cards. Meeting parents there for X-Mas. Staying venetian so if I play it will probably be Mirage. Dunno what my schedule will be or anything yet. We also need to get a flight, huh?

I live on the East coast 5 min from the beach. Humidity makes everything feel warmer. Basic science.

Check out this link. http://www.dspringair.com/Humidity.htm

From the link

"Humidity Lesson #2 - Dry air will make you feel cooler in your own home and cause you to turn up your thermostat and cost you more money on your heating bills. How does dry air make you feel cooler in your own home? We've already established that cold dry air in your home will absorb moisture from your body. When moisture is drawn from your skin, it removes heat from your body just like the evaporation of sweat. The drier the air, the more moisture is drawn from your body and the cooler you feel. With properly humidified air, your body retains its moisture and you can turn down your thermostat. "Humidity Fact" - a 10% increase in relative humidity makes the air feel "1 Degree Warmer!" Imagine, a humidifier that improves your health and saves you money at the same time."

Yeah no joke. You want to get a good taste of how humidity affects you - visit Houston in late July/early August.

That's great, bernie. Have a blast. I don't know when you were there last, but I would recommend the NYNY roller coaster.

As for the porno cards, that reminded me of a funny story. I was just out of college and working in Aberdeen (near the WA coast for those unfamiliar with the state). I didn't know anybody in the city and didn't have a girlfriend at the time. Anyway, on Christmas, I open up a gift from one of my friends and it's about 40 pounds of the XXX fliers, newspapers, etc., that they hand out down there. "I figured you were lonely," he said. Anyone planning on going down for the WSOP? I think I might take a week and do it this year. Looks like a fun time to be there.
