Default Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Has anybody played this yet? It's getting decent reviews but is getting lost in the sea of great games that have come out recently. I hear the gameplay is relatively unchanged, except for the fact that it takes place in the jungle. I for one am going to pick it up soon just to see where the plot goes from the last one. Any fans of the series here?

Yeah, I like the series and I have the MGS3 - I have to say that I am not much of a fan in the direction they have taken the series.

I hated MGS2 because of incredibly long cut-scenes and needless melodrama. So many stupid subplots and idiotic dialogue. MGS3 seems to be much more of the same, thusfar. Every review out there though praises the game, almost to the point that the reviewer seems like he's wacking off to it...I just don't get it.

There just isn't a lot of new ground covered in MGS3...new combat system, no radar, a loony camo meter, yada yada yada. And now, for another 30 minute cut-scene.
