Default Good tourney player wants to take next step.. how?

Guys,

I've long been a respecatble tournament player, and have a fair number of big finishes under my belt, but looking over at the guys who make the money every time I've seen them play, I ask myself: "What do they have that I don't"?

Obviously experience is going to be one thing. But without knowing too much more about me, are there common traps that players of respectable skill fall into that keep them from going to the next level? Am I not looking enough for tells with my opening crowd? Am I focusing too much on the math and not enough on the people?

What do these big finishers do that the average finisher does not?

Any advice appreciated.

M.

I don't know, but my best guess would be, make situational plays irrespective of the cards they hold. The average finisher often just throws 72 away and goes back to sleep instead of looking for an alternative.
